Conexão Digital 2026: an event page with countdown and sign-ups

Context and problem

Self-initiated project: a fictional brief I wrote for practice, treated as if it came from a real client — with audience, goal and constraints defined before any code.

The brief: an online tech event that shared its schedule in loose PDFs and posts, and lost sign-ups because people could not find everything in one place.

The goal was a page that creates urgency and puts sign-up one click away.

My responsibility

• End-to-end project: design, development and deployment.

Solution

An animated countdown to the event, a timed schedule, speaker cards and a sign-up form.

Architecture decisions

• A plain JavaScript countdown, with no libraries, to keep the page light.
• A mobile-first layout, since most traffic for events promoted on social media comes from phones.
